Angeles City years ago was just a tiny barrio in San Fernando. It was called Kuliat before. In 1892 a petition led by Don Angel Pantaleon de Miranda led to the separation of Kuliat from the town of San Fernando. It only had more than six hundred inhabitants. In 1964 Kuliat became Angeles City.

Angeles City is found on the western side of Luzon and it is sixteen kilometers apart form the capital of the province of Pampanga. It is bounded by two towns namely Magalang and Mabalacat. It has six thousand four hundred thirty two hectares and they are divided into thirty two barangays.
